The Big Weave Workshop is a free workshop in this lovely well being space. We’re here every other Tuesday evening, 5.30pm till 8.30pm.
We are a friendly bunch that get together to weave mats for the homeless.. I deliver the mats to our local homeless community, who are always so grateful to receive them 🦋
This was amazing 11 demonstrations over 11days
The Crisp Packet Project travelled over 1300 miles, visiting South Thames College, London, Earls Barton, Northamptonshire, Shrewsbury College, Liverpool, Leeds, Bishop Aukland, Middlesbrough and Newcastle.Hackney.
This is a life saving project! We hold a free workshop every Sunday. Bivi bags are made out of crisp packets, which are heat fused using steam irons. The crisp packet sheets are then sandwiched between two clear plastic sheets to form a sturdy, waterproof shelter The foil lining also helps to reflect body heat! These potentially life saving bivi bags have now been made and handed out to homeless people from Hastings to as far as Glasgow!
The big weave weaving mats free weave workshop .
Every other Tuesday evening 5.30 pm till 8.30pm for our less fortunate friends of our community. This is such a blessing to be able to make these mats . The gratitude i receive from the streets is overwhelming. The group that weave these every week turn up with out fail are amazing and their weaving is growing and getting faster each week . Two mats a week with two weavers on each loom . Such a fantastic thing to do and helping to save bags going to land fill to , These mats give comfort and because they are plastic they are great in the wet . Just s small thing but when you have nothing this is everything ❤
